Catholic Charities of California, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit representing twelve local Catholic Charities Organizations in California at the state level. Every year, these organizations provide more than 1.5 million professional social services to Californians who need help.

Catholic Charities of California began its first Disaster Case Management Program contract with the California Department of Social Services Disaster Services Bureau in 2018.Disaster Case Management Programs assists survivors impacted by major natural disasters using a holistic service approach to facilitate long-term recovery. Disaster Case Managers provide individualized support in the areas of survivor advocacy, resource and referral services, and recovery planning. The goal of Disaster Case Management Programs is to ensure that all survivors return to a safe, secure, and sanitary living environment. To date, Disaster Case Management Programs have provided case management services to over 1,800 disaster survivors.
Catholic Charities of California currently operates three FEMA-funded Disaster Case Management Programs, which serve wildfire survivors in nine counties: Sonoma, Lake, Napa, Mendocino, Butte, Yuba, Shasta, Ventura, and Los Angeles.
